VIDEO LIBRARY TODAY...

The Video Library operates as an integral service of the Lake Chapala Society, providing members with  access to approximately 4,000 movies on VHS tapes or DVD discs. Membership in the LCS entitles a member to rent  videos at a nominal cost*. The library is staffed entirely by a group of dedicated volunteers from the LCS membership. Rental fee: 15 pesos Daily overdue fine: 10 poesos Not rewinding a returned cassette rental: 5 pesos

VIDEO LIBRARY HISTORY...

The library was started over 13 years ago, creating its inventory initially from donated copies of movies gleaned from television. The library still holds a large number of these donations but has concentrated on replacing them with original copies of movies, both donated and purchased.    With the introduction of the DVD format, the Video Library now purchases movies exclusively in this format.
